Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Receevo ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by TrexBusiness LLC under the DGZ Productivity umbrella, collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Receevo app. By using Receevo, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Receipt images captured or uploaded through the app
• Receipt details you enter or that are parsed via OCR (merchant, date, total)
• Category labels you assign to receipts
• Device name you assign in app settings

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Anonymous usage analytics for performance improvement
• App logs used for troubleshooting and crash reporting
• Your Firebase Authentication UID (linked to your Google account)
• Plan type (free, individual, or team) for feature gating

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve Receevo's features: receipt storage, cloud backup, smart search, category filtering, CSV export, and device sync. We do not sell your personal data or receipt content. Free-tier users will see ads served by Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers and usage signals to serve and personalize ads. PRO subscribers do not see ads and their data is not used for advertising purposes. See the Advertising section below for details.

Cloud Storage

Your receipts, images, and associated metadata are stored in Firebase Storage and Firestore, encrypted at rest and in transit, and tied to your Firebase UID. Paid plan users receive cloud backup and multi-device sync. Free users have local-only storage with no cloud redundancy. We do not access your receipt contents for any purpose other than delivering the service to you.

Managing Your Data

You may delete individual receipts at any time from within the app. Deleting a receipt removes it from both local storage and cloud storage immediately and irreversibly. You may also request complete account deletion by contacting us at the address below.

Data Retention & Permanent Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you request full account deletion, all receipts, images, category data, device records, and associated information are permanently removed from our systems. No archival or backup copies are retained beyond the minimum required for fraud prevention or legal compliance. Deletion is irreversible.

Third-Party Services

Receevo uses the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and cloud storage
• Google Play Billing — subscription management
• Google ML Kit — on-device OCR text recognition (no data sent to Google servers)
• Firebase Analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage data
• Google AdMob — advertising services (free tier only; subject to Google's advertising privacy policy)

Advertising

The free version of Receevo displays ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve and personalize ads, AdMob may collect and use the following:

• Google Advertising ID (GAID) and similar device identifiers
• IP address and approximate location (country/region)
• App usage data and ad interaction signals

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be shown a consent prompt before any personalized ads are served. You may choose non-personalized ads at any time through that prompt, or opt out at the device level via Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

Children's Privacy

Receevo is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption, secure Firebase rules, and authenticated access controls to protect your data. While no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, we take reasonable and appropriate measures to safeguard your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our features or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Receevo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
